HyperIP Release 5.4.6 is now available

Release 5.4.6 is a maintenance release and is now available on Network Executive Software's ftp site.  Please refer to the updated HyperFlash on our website for items addressed by this release.

Note: the #nnn references below are our case numbers for the issue described.


OPERATIONAL/PROCEDURAL IMPACT

#381: illegal combinations of interface speed and duplexing are no longer allowed by the web interface.

#866,1047,1072: Adaptive compression percentage is now changable by the user interface, without a restart.

#844: Added initial web page with privacy statement.

#912: You may now turn off ALL methods of configuration security access for BOTH the management and data interfaces.

#1021: NetApps traceroute (or other traceroute utilizing (no) zero checksum) works through HyperIP.


FEATURES/ENHANCEMENTS
 

#866: Adaptive compression percentage is now changable by the user interface.

#877: Enhancements to hipstatus: average write size, reformat proxy connection display.

DOWNLOAD PROCEDURE


You may download this release from our ftp site by going to ftp.netexsw.com (or 216.17.38.91), cd to downloads/hyperip and "get" file hyperip-5.4.6.nex, in binary mode. You may download the file from a HyperIP unit having access to the internet, or temporarily "park" the file on a server having access to both the internet and the HyperIP's subnet. Once the update file has been loaded on hyperip, follow the instructions in the documentation to install the new release.
