DOWNLOAD PROCEDURE

To upgrade a 2.7.x version, you may download the new product release from ftp.netexsw.com.  Login as anonymous with your email address as password, cd downloads/nesigate-install, and get file 'nesi-inst', in BINARY mode, onto a system with direct network access to the NESiGate(s).  If your web browser is properly configured:  

    ftp://ftp.netexsw.com/downloads/nesigate-install/nesi-inst

For NESiGates running version 2.7.2 - 2.7.4, ftp the downloaded nesi-inst file into directory /home/nesi/mnt.  Ensure it is executable with: chmod +x nesi-inst, then install by running it with the proper parameters for the NESiGate type.

To upgrade release 2.7.5 you may use 'receiveFile' from the CLI or web to place the downloaded Inst file in the proper directory for 'installNesigate'.

To upgrade a NESiGate version older than 2.7.x, you must acquire the OS CD set and re-install the NESiGate as described in the 2.7.6 Software Installation Guide.  The software is on a set of 5 CDs. Three CDs contain the NESiGate operating system, one the NESiGate product (CA, CO, LO or GW), and one a diagnostic/recovery CD.  Please contact NetEx support in order to obtain the CD set.

Support for prior releases of 2.7 (2.7.2, 2.7.3, 2.7.4, 2.7.5) will end on November 30, 2006.
