Tips for Downloading Code from Netex Software
Software code releases can be downloaded from our ftp site (ftp.netexsw.com or 66.173.31.179), cd to the proper directory (e.g. downloads/hyperip or downloads/nesigate-install) and "get" the required file in binary mode. You may initiate the download from a target unit having access to the internet, or temporarily "park" the file on a server having access to both the internet and the target unit's subnet. Once the update file is in the proper location, follow the instructions in the documentation to install the new release.

Configuring a MS Internet Explorer Browser for anonymous ftp transfers
- Use Registry Editor to open the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
- Check the data value of the EmailName value. The default value is "IEUser@," "IE30User@", or "IE40User@". If the data value is corrupted, an elipsis (...) is placed after the data value (for example, "IE40User@"...).
- Double-click the EmailName value, or click Modify on the Edit menu.
- Enter your email address, Click OK.
Configuring a Mozilla/Firefox Browser for anonymous ftp transfers
- Enter "about:config" in the address or "where am I going" window.
- Enter ftp in the "filter" window.
- If "advanced.mailftp" is set to false, double-click it to toggle it to true.
- If there is no entry for network.ftp.anonymous_password, right click in the window and select: 'new', then select 'string'. Enter the string: "network.ftp.anonymous_password".
- You will be prompted for your password. Enter your e-mail address.
