NetEx with IBM eServer xSeries
(formerly NetFinity)

This paper discusses the role of IBM's eserver xSeries as an enabling device for NetEx/IP implementations. Depending upon the platform, one of four variations of NESiGate™ software is installed on the eserver. The platforms discussed are:

• IBM OS/390 Channel Adapter using (H210IP) and Unisys (H300IP)
• IBM OS/390 Channel Offload using (H217IP) and Unisys (H307IP)
• LAN Offload for Tandem (H367IP) and DEC Alpha (H267IP)
• HYPERchannel to IP Gateway for Legacy NetEx/HC networks
