Broadview Networks Implements NetEx HyperIP to Accelerate Data Replication between New York City and Pennsylvania

In this application, HyperIP enables Broadview Networks to seamlessly deploy a redundant, highly scalable and highly available replication solution that allows the communications company to achieve substantial TCO benefits associated with increased application throughput and significantly reduced session transfers.

Using the HyperIP-enabled solution, Broadview Networks fully utilizes their Fractional (24 Mbps) DS-3 WAN circuit with effective application throughput of 60 to 90 Mb/s, allowing the company to reduce their replication windows by up to 70%. HyperIP allows Broadview to avoid the costs associated with deploying a second DS-3 circuit to accommodate current replication windows and planned growth for their ongoing storage requirements.

NetEx’s HyperIP is able to fully utilize allocated session bandwidth, accelerate data rates and minimize performance degradation by using superior compression along with latency and packet loss mitigation technologies. The NetEx solution quickly and efficiently aggregates the data blocks to the HyperIP-accelerated pipe and then automatically compresses the data from 2:1 to 15:1 depending on the compressibility of the data.
