NetEx Press Release

NetEx Gains Momentum With Addition of 25 New Channel Partners

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – March 3, 2008 —NetEx®, the leader in high speed Data Center Acceleration over IP, today announced that it has signed 25 new channel partners through The Lauffin Group since the two companies entered into a definitive reseller referral agreement last October.

The success in attracting resellers will make the NetEx HyperIP® Data Center Acceleration solution available to customers seeking optimization for backup, recovery and archive applications, recovery on demand features and the ability to readily monitor application performance over the WAN.  It signifies considerable growth opportunities for the solution’s implementation throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Among those end users already taking advantage of the benefits HyperIP offers are organizations within the aerospace, banking, education, government, healthcare, and research and development industries.

“Because of our success in attracting top-level channel partners throughout the fourth quarter, we are well positioned for immediate success coming into our new fiscal year,” said Robert MacIntyre, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at NetEx.  “We should see this momentum continuing well into the future as TLG continues to recruit additional resellers on top of the ones we’ve previously signed.  It gives us critical momentum as we grow our business success throughout the world by reaching more and more customers looking for the optimal way to migrate and replicate enterprise data loads between data centers.”

“We have seen considerable interest in the channel community for the NetEx software suite, which resellers are offering as a standalone product or packaging with hardware for a total comprehensive solution,” said Diamond Lauffin, founder and principal of The Lauffin Group. “The value proposition that NetEx brings with scalable disaster recovery and replication over an optimized IP connection make the HyperIP solution one that customers are eager to implement and one that helps resellers close their sales faster.”

“The unmatched customer benefits that HyperIP provides make it an easy-to-sell solution with a strong ROI that helps customers control their data storage costs with intelligent bandwidth optimization for enterprise-class data acceleration,” said Ashby A. Lincoln at VeriStor Systems, a data storage solutions provider based in Atlanta.

About HyperIP

HyperIP is NetEx’s award-winning business continuity and disaster recovery optimization solution for backup, recovery and data replication applications.   It provides unmatched performance for moving TCP data efficiently using patent-pending technology that accelerates and optimizes the industry-leading data replication and file transfer applications by aggregating multiple data replication applications over a shared connection while mitigating the inherent network latency and network disruption for long-distance remote TCP/IP data transmissions. HyperIP line-optimization appliances support data transfers over distance at up to 800 Mb/s, the highest performance of any optimization appliance on the market, and 25 to more than 100 percent faster than competitive products.  Transfer speed is optimized for the full range of data management applications, including backup & remote replication and business continuance/disaster recovery (BC/DR).  HyperIP has been qualified with EMC’s SRDF, Centera Replicator and Celerra Replicator, TrueCopy from Hitachi Data Systems, IBM’s Tivoli Storage Manager and Global Mirror, SnapVault and SnapMirror from Network Appliance, DataGuard and DBsync from Oracle and Symantec’s NetBackup, Replication Exec and Volume Replicator.

The NetEx HyperIP Data Center Acceleration solution is currently available in a variety of scalable configurations, based upon bandwidth required with data rates ranging from 1.5 Mb/s up to 800 Mb/s with pricing starting at $6K - $8K per appliance.
