HyperIP has deployed in the Financial Services sector accelerating centralized offsite backup of remote branch systems to the data center and HyperIP has significantly improved data replication apps for Disaster Recovery in a data center.

Centralized or offsite backup from remote branch servers or desktops experience significant challenges when using the allocated bandwidth for these branches.  Multiple applications run over these circuits supporting browser based financial apps, email, messaging, and streaming of video for employee training.  The impact that a backup application has on a WAN link when started, is detrimental to the other apps on that link.  HyperIP can improve performance of the offsite backup app, but shield the other user traffic by implementing a QOS rate limiting of that backup app.  This ensures that there is enough bandwidth for the end users in the branch for the applications driving their productivity.

Compliance in the Financial Services vertical requires a Disaster Recovery plan for most bank’s and financial services company’s data centers.  These DR sites have to be geographically dispersed for obvious reasons, but most importantly, the Recovery Time Objective needs to be in minutes or hours versus days for the day-to-day operations of the institution to resume.  HyperIP allows applications that replicate data from storage arrays, servers, SANs, clusters, and mainframes to more efficiently use links deployed for DR.  HyperIP can scale its optimization from link speeds of 2Mbs to 800Mbs in each appliance solution to serve the needs of any size financial institution.  HyperIP has been qualified on nearly every replication application for DR and has the ability to ensure recovery even with the most stringent RTO’s.
