Bandwidth Schedule

I've just discovered that HyperIP seems to run a little better if my bandwidth schedule is set in my config just under the available link. I've got a 100Mbs MPLS link and had HyperIP set for 100Mbs, but actually moved the rate limit down to 98Mbs and saw an improvement in performance. Why is that?

HyperIP will try and fill the bandwidth to its maximum and with its header information this can sometime oversubscribe the link. By setting the rate limit to just under the maximum limit then you will not overdrive the network.
